Historic Preservation Dinner

A celebration of RMBL’s history, this evening is an opportunity to enjoy a fine dinner in RMBL’s beautiful billy barr community center followed by tours through the town site and RMBL’s historic buildings. Tours will be led by guides conversant in RMBL’s rich history, from its founding as a mining town through the transition to one of the world’s premier biological field stations. History Colorado honored RMBL in 2015 with the Stephen H. Hart award for its work preserving the historic town site.

The free Mountain Express bus will depart the 4-way in Crested Butte at 4:00 p.m. and will depart Gothic at 8:30 p.m. for this event.

4:30 – 6:00 pm – happy hour
6:00 – 7:00 pm – dinner
7:00 – 8:00 pm – town site tours
Historic Preservation Dinner 2017 Menu
– Cumin roasted potato with queso fresco & candied jalapenos
– Flatbread with chicken liver pate & rosemary pear jam
– Polenta squares with roasted tomato walnut pesto

– House made pickles

– A duo of duck breast medallion & seared beef medallion

– Spinach goat cheese stuffed sweet potato with candied pecans

– Baby greens salad with Peonia peaches, charred chiles, & bourbon vinaigrette
– Wild grain pilaf with heirloom tomatoes
– Roasted radish & golden beet with pickled mustard seeds

– Broccolini with garlic & chiles


– Ricotta tart with meyer lemon marmalade
– Balsamic pears with ricotta & pink peppercorn
– Raw chocolate cheesecake with candied orange peel
