Since 1928 RMBL researchers have been bringing together discovery and scientific training in one of the most intensely studied ecosystems in the world. Hosting one of the largest gatherings of field biologists, as well as one of the world's largest collections of long-term studies, RMBL provides unique insights into how biological systems are responding as our environment changes. RMBL research has been covered in a wide range of media outlets, including The New York Times, Mother Jones, Nature, Science, and many others. RMBL science has influenced state and national legislation, for instance, research on acid deposition was used during revision of the National Clean Air Act to protect air in the western US.
