Each summer, the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL) has several full-time and part-time staff positions in the kitchen, on work crew, in the administrative office, or elsewhere. Available positions are listed below. Internships and research positions are also listed here.

Adult Science Tour and Gothic Store Manager.
|Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory is seeking to hire a manager for our popular Adult Science Tours and the Gothic Store for Summer 2014. Applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate RMBL’s mission with tour participants, store customers and the community. This position is responsible for store opening, inventory, ordering, stocking, managing and scheduling store employees as well as supporting science tour participants and scientist tour leaders. 25-40 hours/week, from June 1 to Sept. 30, 2014. |Invasive Plant Intern||The Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory is now taking applications for an Invasive Plant Intern. We are looking for a student interested in invasive plant management and plant restoration. Applicants should have a sincere interest in active management of invasive plants. The chosen applicant will work an average of 40 hours/week on invasive plant management, research, and revegetation. This program runs from approximately June 8 to August 15, 2014. Housing, meals, and station fees, will be provided. In addition, $200 is available for travel expense reimbursement. There is no salary. A detailed job description can be found here. |Dining Hall Staff||Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL) Dining Hall positions available in Gothic, Colorado for the 2014 summer season – 2 Lead Cooks, 1 Prep Cook/Baker, 1 Dishwasher. Dining Hall will be open between June 7 and August 17, 2014. Food service experience is required, or a combination of culinary education and related experience. |Research Internship||Research Internships: Dr. Rosemary Smith seeks two reliable and energetic research assistants to work on a project between late June to mid August of 2014 on the behavior and ecology of burying beetles. This is a great opportunity to be involved in research at RMBL. The rodent and beetle censuses require ethical handling of live vertebrates and insects, there is also laboratory rearing of beetles.
