The 46th Annual Gothic to Crested Butte Run, Walk, or Crawl 1/3 Marathon
Where: The run begins in Gothic, 8.56 miles north of Crested Butte in Colorado
When: July 4th @8:00 a.m.
What: All proceeds benefit RMBL, a private, non-profit scientific research and education institution
The Course: The course winds through aspen woods and meadows from Gothic through Mt. Crested Butte on a dirt road, past the ski resort on pavement, ending on Elk Avenue in downtown Crested Butte. Runners will follow the Gothic Road, running on the east side of the road through Mt. CB to the Rec Path, following the Rec Path down the mountain to CB, picking up Gothic Avenue in town, turning south onto 5th Street and the west onto Elk Avenue. The finish is at 3rd and Elk. There will be four aid stations with water at approximately miles 1, 3, 5 and 7. Water, lemonade, and fruit will be available at the end of the race. Prizes are given to different age groups. Results will be posted on the gear van behind the podium on 3rd street between Elk and Sopris Avenues and on the RMBL website. There will be short awards ceremony before the start of the big parade.
