Project Eco-STEM is currently full with a waitlist for Summer 2019; please email youthscience@rmbl.org if you would like to be put on the waitlist.  Registration for this program opens each year on December 1st.

Daily Schedule: 9am-4:45pm (Meeting in Gothic) or 8:20am-5:10pm (Meeting at the CB 4-Way Bus Stop)

Program Cost: $500.00 per student

Course Description:  Are you curious?  Do you like to find answers about the way things work in our world? Do you care about helping others?  Do you like solving problems?  If you said yes to any of these questions, you have a lot in common with people who work as scientists and engineers.  Project Eco-STEM is a program designed for students entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades in the fall of 2019.  Each day, we’ll meet professionals who have chosen careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields, and we’ll see how their work impacts the ecosystems around us. We’ll witness innovations, play with technologies, and try our hands with field research and design practices.

Be prepared for both outdoor and thinking adventures!  We’ll dive into both scientific inquiry questions as well as engineering opportunities.  As part of Project Eco-STEM, we will travel to locations outside of Gothic via the RMBL passenger van. Participants will need a signed RMBL Travel Waiver to go on these field trips.
