Research Volunteers

Volunteer to join our scientists in tackling some of the big questions about how our world works. This is REAL science happening right here in Gunnison County. No formal training in science is required. All it takes is curiosity about field biology and eagerness to see firsthand how scientists are learning about the natural world.

For volunteer opportunities, please contact scientists directly. (You will find their contact information by following the links below.) Once you have made arrangements to volunteer with a scientist, please contact Dr. Amy Ellwein, the Director of Science Communications and Engagement (amy@rmbl.org) with your contact information and to complete a liability form.

While scientists may have specific recommendations for what to bring, at a minimum we recommend  bringing a day pack, food, water, good hiking boots, rain gear, sunscreen/sunhat/sunglasses.
