Each summer, RMBL has several full-time and part-time staff positions in the kitchen, physical plant, administrative office as well as in environmental education or research related areas.

Youth Program InstructorsWe seek enthusiastic nature and science educators to teach summer day camps for K-2nd, 3rd-5th and Middle School students in Gothic and the surrounding region from June 14 to August 13, 2021. REU CoordinatorThe Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory is hiring a Program Coordinator (Biologist) for a pilot NSF Postdoc-REU program. This program is a one-summer program whereby current NSF Postdocs will be paired with an NSF-funded REU student (10-15 pairs expected). The Program Coordinator job entails the administration of the REU program in the late spring, as well as coordinating the program activities during summer 2021; the position is a 5-6 month seasonal job. Administration and Operations AssistantThe Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory seeks an Administration and Operations Assistant, a new position working closely with the Administration and Operations staff at RMBL. This is a full-time (may be structured to cover the weekend) summer seasonal position (April-September) involved in the day-to-day functioning of many aspects of a busy field station. Candidates need to have a service-oriented perspective, a strong sense of responsibility, and the desire to be an important part of a strong and engaging team. CustodianThe Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory seeks a full-time custodian. This is a seasonal position (May-October) involved in the opening, closing, and day-to-day cleaning of the field station. Facilities ManagerThe Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory seeks a Facilities Manager, a new position in the leadership team at RMBL. This is a full time, year-round position involved in operation of the physical plant and management of the facilities crew. Development Manager and Capital Campaign CoordinatorThe Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory seeks Development Manager/Capital Campaign Coordinator (a new position) to provide day to day management for the fundraising and communications efforts at RMBL. This position is responsible for ensuring the organization meets its annual fundraising goals and manages the day-to-day work of the capital campaign. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Ideal candidates are mission-driven, thrive in small organizations and prefer to work in teams rather than siloes. The Development Manager/Capital Campaign Coordinator must be extremely detail-oriented and enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-changing environment. Although this position is conceived as a manager-level position, candidates who have experience at a more senior level are encouraged to apply as we will consider a wide range of applications and would consider adjusting responsibilities and compensation accordingly. Research StudentRMBL is seeking ten local college students interested in conducting field research during summer, 2021. The ten chosen students will each receive a $5750 stipend and full ride scholarship. The full award description is HERE.Applications should be submitted by March 1.
Food Service Chef, Food Prep Assistant, Baker and DishwasherRocky Mountain Biological Laboratory seeks full and part-time food service chef, food prep assistant, baker and dishwasher. These seasonal positions run May through mid-August to support meal preparation and meal service at the field station in Gothic, CO. Kitchen experience preferred.
