Field Station

Scientists conduct field research at our high alpine location in pristine, untouched wilderness.

We provide the infrastructure and permits so that you can maximize your summer research as part of an exciting community of biologists. As an independent non-profit organization, we are able to attract scientists from all over the world and foster a hub of collaboration.

RMBL is located in a former ghost town from Colorado’s silver mining days. We manage over 70 buildings, totaling 45,000 square feet. Since 1928, we have hosted one of the largest annual migrations of field biologists in the world.
