Gary Weed
With a B.S. from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, Gary recently retired after 32 years with the Exxon Mobil Corporation. Gary served in a variety of roles in the Downstream Division of Exxon including Vice President of Downstream Business Services, Downstream Controller, and Vice-President of Finance for the Italy Downstream operations. During this time he acquired expertise in financial accounting, analysis and reporting, regulatory compliance, strategic business planning, and budgeting. Gary took graduate classes in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of New Mexico, and has retained his interest in field biology. Gary started to visit Crested Butte in 1992 and began living part time in Mt. Crested Butte in 2003. Gary is finishing his first term on the RMBL Board and has served on the Finance Committee since June 2011.
