Weddings and private events held at the billy barr Community Center are unique and special experience your guests will not soon forget!
Rental of the Community Center includes the use of the main hall, board room, catering kitchen, and outdoor 20′ x 30′ tent. The main hall can comfortably seat 128 guests for dinner.

The Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory is a wonderful place to host your conference, with flexible meeting spaces, housing, and dining options.
Location
The historic townsite of Gothic, CO is located just 4 miles from Mt. Crested Butte, 8 miles from the Town of Crested Butte, and 1 hour away from the Gunnison airport, it is possible to feel an entire escape to nature, while also enjoying the amenities of a nearby resort destination.
Meeting Facilities
The main lecture hall of the billy barr Community Center offers seating for 196 lecture-style and 128 for meals. Partitions can be used to adjust the space to fit smaller breakout groups if needed. A large retractable screen, projector, and connected PA system allow for live and distanced presentations.
A small conference /board room, which seats 18 comfortably around a large table, is included with full rental of the community center or can be rented on its own. This room has a wall-mounted conference television for presentations and hybrid virtual conferencing capabilities.
The community center also has an outdoor tent available for use by groups and is included in the price of renting the community center. There is only a fee if groups wish to take down the tent.

Community Center Board Room Rental
Our conference/board room seats 18 at a conference table, and we charge $375/day to rent this room. Distance connection and hybrid conferencing options are available for an additional fee.
