Mission Statement:
The RMBL Community DEI Committee is committed to:
- Engaging the voices of, and building collaborative relationships between, all scientists, students, and staff in the community
- Empowering BIPOC and LGBTQ+ members of the community
- Advocating for the physical and emotional/mental health of all community members
- Educating the community on social justice issues relevant to biological field stations
- Taking anti-colonial actions to support longer-term decolonization and re-imagination of relationships to land

Resources
General Information
- We host weekly BIPOC Safe Space meetings for students to decompress. Meet in Barclay East Classroom on Mondays 7-8pm
- We host workshops on various topics surrounding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as host events to celebrate diversity and raise awareness about DEI initiatives
- The RMBL DEI Community Committee has put together a gear loan program open to the RMBL community. If you need to temporarily borrow some camping gear (e.g. tents, bear cans, sleeping bags, rain gear, first-aid kits etc.), we’ve got you covered! How this works:
