Director’s Letter – August 2025

Director's Letter

This summer, the impact of RMBL was felt more deeply than ever. Our scientists continued to break new ground in understanding climate change, biodiversity, and ecosystem dynamics. Their work reaches far beyond the valley and informs global conversations about our planet’s future. We welcomed a new generation of students and early-career researchers whose passion and curiosity give us great hope for the decades to come. We also strengthened connections among disciplines, institutions, and people, linking scientific processes with the public in meaningful and lasting ways.

Looking ahead, we will carry this energy into fall. We will advance RMBL 365, prepare for extended year-round programming, and lay the groundwork for our Centennial Campaign. We are also planning a new website and social media presence for 2026. Together these initiatives will position us for our next 100 years, strengthening our role as a leader in field science and as a hub where research, education, and conservation come together in service of a more sustainable world.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting RMBL’s mission as we enter this exciting new chapter. Your engagement is essential to everything we do, and together, we are shaping the future of science.

 With Gratitude,
