RMBL’s goal is to make it as easy as possible for scientists to get their research programs up and running quickly.  RMBL offers numerous advantages, including coordination with permitting agencies, long-term relationships with landowners and other important stakeholders, access to a wide variety of research sites, access to shared research equipment and modern laboratory space, staff support, a substantial amount of accumulated scientific knowledge, the opportunity to interact with national and international scientists, and financial support.

New/Renewing Scientists

P.I.s with new research plans should familiarize themselves with the RMBL Research Code and reach out to Jennie Reithel, Science Director, with any questions before submitting a New Research Application.

Application Deadline: February 1st

Returning Scientists

If you have an approved research plan that is current, please submit Annual Research Questions (in your community portal account) by April 1, to be prioritized for lab space and other facility and service needs.

Update Deadline: April 1

Research Assistants

Research Assistants who have already been hired to work for a Primary Investigator may register with RMBL. People searching for research assistant positions can check our jobs page for postings or email Jennie Reithel, Science Director who may be able to match you with a scientist in need of an RA.

Registration and Housing Request Deadline: April 1

Visiting Scientists

Scientists who wish to visit RMBL to give a talk, are visiting with collaborators, or wish to visit RMBL to plan future research.

There is no deadline to apply; however, housing requests received before April 1st receive priority.
